There are a variety of volunteer roles available to be involved in the festival, including festival operations, admissions, beverage/culinary serving opportunities and general ambassadors for wayfinding and guest relations.
You must be 21 years of age or older to volunteer to work during the events for the festival (opportunities for under 21 include event set-up). Volunteers receive a souvenir Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife apron, souvenir glassware and an opportunity to enjoy the event in which they are volunteering after their shift ends – or even free event ticket opportunities, depending upon the number of volunteer hours a volunteer can commit.
Volunteer attire includes black pants/shorts/skirts with collared white shirts. Depending upon the event (seated dinners, brunch, etc. will require long pants and long-sleeved collared shirts). All volunteers are not allowed to drink any alcoholic beverages while volunteering, will be required to wear closed-toe shoes and must sign a waiver of liability.
Volunteer aprons and credentials will need to be removed before participating in event tastings. A special discount Promo code will be provided to volunteers for opportunities to Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife tickets. You will receive your promo code after signing-up for your volunteer shift.
There will be a mandatory attendance Volunteer Orientation Session scheduled on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 6:00pm at the Fire House Community Room: 3101 1st Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084. Each volunteer will receive their festival credentials and apron at the Volunteer Orientation session.
Volunteers that participate in a volunteer shift/role for Saturday, November 4 for the “Grand Tasting” or a total of 8 volunteer hours or more leading up to the Saturday, Grand Tasting or Sunday Jazz Brunch, will earn a FREE TICKET to a Master Class. Experienced Food & Beverage volunteers that donate their time, serving food and beverages for a shift/role for the “Vilano A1A Soiree” event can earn one FREE TICKET to one of “Master Classes” or TWO FREE TICKETS TO THE GRAND TASTING”.
