Join us for the official W3 festival kick-off celebration with a fabulous, multi-course, wine-paired dinner. Hosted by Skip Worden, Executive Chef of The Westin Jekyll Island and The Westin culinary team, this is a feast for all the senses! This is a very limited seating event.

Location: Jekyll Island Historic District Wharf

This popular event is a sell-out every year. Guests will delight in this Whiskey Wine & Wildlife wine cruise with Captain Phillip. Tour the enchanting waters that surround Jekyll Island and engage in this most unique wine tasting experience. Guests should arrive thirty minutes ahead of departure time from the public wharf located opposite the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. Along with the wine tastings, guests will be able to indulge in some light food preparations as they experience a different perspective of beautiful Jekyll Island, coupled with the insights and “local” knowledge that only Captain Phillip can render.

Tickets: $60 per person, limited availability.

W3 MASTER CLASS POURS

Whiskey Wine & Wildlife will present a series of 4 educational classes and seminars, presented by a selection of our participating talent. Our W3 Master Class Pours will appeal to all persons whether you are a novice, an expert or just someone who enjoys the opportunity to get up close and personal with these talented masters and have a little fun. Not to be missed, these classes sell out quickly and have limited ticket availability.

Tickets: $50 per person, per class, limited availability.

Class 3: 2:00 pm – "The Art of Making Pies“ with Chef Philippe Feret, Hilton Head Social Bakery, Hilton Head Island, SC

Chef Philippe Ferret demonstrates the uniqueness of making pies by demonstrating the sweet pastry of the sugar dough pie crust and the fine French art of the Pate Brisee Tart Crust.

Class 4: 3:00 pm – “Taste Your Way Through History”, Kerry Junco, Savannah, GA and Jasmine Walker, Atlanta, GA

Taste Your Way Through History with Old Forester Bourbon, the first bottled bourbon, with Kerry Junco and Jasmine Walker, of Brown-Forman.

Start with our classic 86 proof before advancing to our Whiskey Row Series bottles of 1897, 1910 and 1920. 

And expect a rare surprise taste to finish your Taste Through History!

Enjoy whiskey, wines and beer, along with a showcase of whiskey inspired classic cocktails and culinary delights. Many tastings will be whiskey inspired – from savory, to decadent sweets! Some of the South’s leading, award-winning celebrity chefs and renowned Golden Isles and Lowcountry superstars will be showcasing their special recipes. The beautiful Westin Jekyll Island provides the perfect backdrop for an al fresco evening, oceanfront under the stars with live music.

WHISKEY, WINE & WILDLIFE – W3

Location: Jekyll Island Beach Village & Village Green

The main event will combine our three W’s and more for the perfect island afternoon. With the beautiful ocean backdrop, enjoy tasting culinary delights and a variety of beverages in a souvenir glass. It’s a full afternoon of stages with cooking and wildlife demonstrations, music and more. The silent auction features great packages, with art, travel, and food and drink packages that benefit the Jekyll Island Foundation.

NOTE: This year, following the difficulties the pandemic has had on the restaurant industry in addition to the financial impact, our restaurant vendors will be selling their offerings at W3. All tickets (including VIP tickets) will include a $10 food credit, preloaded to the event wrist bands. Additional food credits will be available for purchase at the event.

VIP Lounge:

Located on the Westin’s Rooftop & The Reserve Restaurant overlooking the Village Green, the VIP Lounge is a fully catered experience with private bars and a relaxing patio space to take a break from the crowds. All tickets include a $10 food credit, see “NOTE” above under the general admission ticket.

Vote for your favorite drink as our bartenders present their specialty cocktail creation. The “Cocktail Challenge” is always a popular event, but there can only be one winner for best cocktail, so be sure and place your vote!

“BBQ Masters”

Taste why southern BBQ is the best BBQ by cruising down shops set up by the South’s most revered pitmasters, grill masters, and chefs. Some of our 2020 pitmasters included: Robert Owens of Grand Champion BBQ in Marietta, Bryan Furman of B’s Cracklin’ BBQ in Atlanta and Savannah and Orchid Paulmeier, One Hot Mama’s in Hilton Head Island.

The grand finale brunch will be the Westin’s culinary team showcase – with Champagne, whiskey cocktails, Bloody Mary Bar, culinary delights and more, enjoy our legendary finale, all the while taking in the laid back beach vibe.

NOTE: Brunch seating will be on a first come, first served basis. Groups of 6+ should make advance reservations to ensure same table seating.
