Dawn Watkins

Though she never calls herself “Chef”, Dawn Watkins certainly has the training and experience that has earned her such a title. With over fiftenn years of recipe development in corporate environments and more than a decade of restaurant ownership under her belt, Dawn moved to the Oldest City seven years ago with her husband, business partner, and co-worker, Jason to start a fun and passionate position as owner and creative mind behind the award-winning food truck, YAMO Italian Street Food. With classic Italian recipes fused with American flavors, Dawn has been able to win awards as popular venues like Taste of St. Augustine and Northeast Florida Egg Fest Chili Cook Off, taking First Place beating out national competition teams. Her passion for feeding others comes from the belief that hunger is not incurable. The YAMO team have recently partnered with World Central Kitchen foudned by Chef Jose Andres to use their mobility as food truck owners to help feed our local communities in times of crisis. Dawn and Jason share the WCK belief that food is a universal human right and that hunger can’t wait.
